We put the thinking into developing the skills of leaders and taking them to a different place – a place where they naturally belong and one they’re comfortable shining in.
We know our stuff (and we’re happy to share).
We know people respond best when they’re connected and engaged. And we know that identifying the right people – the ones who are going to deliver from the get-go – is the best starting point. We don’t leave anyone out on our planet – but we also don’t have a ‘free list’ in our work either, or in the courses and programs we run. There’s no sitting in the corner waiting for the free lunch.
If we just treated the symptoms of what’s ailing your leadership strategy, we’d only be doing half our job. So we’ll look at the causes and build the scaffolding to support the changes you need to deliver. We’re not precious and if you just want us to do all the diagnostic work and you then talk to another provider; that’s fine by us. You probably won’t though. Once you see how sharp our tools are, you’ll more than likely be with us from end to end.
To make the sustainable changes in your company, we’ve architect-designed a way of thinking (that word again) that your people can unpack in their own way and champion in their daily work. Working with us will open up your understanding of the direct link between change and reinforcement. We’re good at showing you the touch points that deliver sustainability.
Bespoke is the new buzz for everything. So, until it goes cold, we’ll use it too. The solutions we create for you will be bespoke! Each company has a different set of issues, a different dynamic and a different set of people – obviously. If we gave you an off-the-shelf package we would’ve failed in our deliverables. And we don’t fail. Everything we do, everything we design and everything we think is based on your issues – no one else’s. It’s all about you.
How we do what we do
Red tape? – not for us. And we know it’s never the best part of your day too, so we don’t even have the word ‘bureaucracy’ in our vocabulary. We’ll keep all the admin to ourselves.
Sometimes tough love is necessary. We’re not afraid to tell you some of the things you may not want to hear. But don’t worry, we’re nice people and open and honest. Once we’ve knocked you down we’ll work with you to find those solutions you’ve been struggling to find. It’s our objective, dispassionate eye that sees some of the things you can’t.
Everything we preach, we practise ourselves – how could we not? What you see in us is what you can expect to see in your own company. Call them values, but we’re professional to the bone and will keep you in the loop with all decisions, recommendations and outcomes. We’ll go out of our way to make sure our messages are clear and easily understood.
There are no shortcuts at HCI. Credibility only comes with expertise, and expertise only comes with quality. All our courseware undergoes a rigorous QA process and all our people are qualified to professionally deliver their individual areas of expertise. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
It’s all about balance. We’re just like you and understand the need for balance inside and outside work. We’ve all got a life. We take all the pressures from work and home into account and work around them.
It’s safe. It’s one thing to sit in a room with other people and ‘get trained’. That’s not what we’re about. We’re probably a bit OCD about making sure your ‘thinking people’ are comfortable, safe and feeling okay about the whole experience. We take the temperature of the group and let them determine the levels.
You gotta laugh. While what we do is serious stuff, we know how to have serious fun too. We enjoy what we do and love it when others enjoy it with us. We’ve thrown out the ‘old school’ ways – quite literally. Our business is personality-based and you’ll see those personalities at every connection with us.
